Who this is

This website is run by Skipper's World Websites ("I", "me"), a Norfolk-based freelance web design service. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact me at enquiries@skippersworld.co.uk.

What information I collect

Contact form. If you use the contact form, I collect your name, business name, email address, phone number and message. This is sent directly to my inbox to reply to your enquiry — it is not stored on this website.

Testimonials. If you submit a testimonial, I collect your name, business name, star rating and message. This is stored on the website so it can be reviewed before publishing. Submitted testimonials are not shown publicly until approved.

Website usage. This site logs a simple count of page views per day, so I can understand roughly how many people visit. This does not identify you personally — no names, IP addresses or device information are stored, and automated bots/crawlers are excluded from the count.

Cookies

This website does not use cookies, and does not use any third-party analytics or advertising trackers. Because of this, no cookie consent banner is needed.

How your information is used

• Contact form submissions are used only to respond to your enquiry.
• Testimonials are used only to display on the Testimonials page, and only once you've given one and I've approved it.
• Page-view counts are used only to understand overall site traffic — never to identify or track individuals.

Third parties

The contact form sends directly to my own email inbox via a secure connection — no third-party form service is used. No other third-party services are used on this site.

How long information is kept

Testimonial submissions are kept until you ask for them to be removed, or until I remove them. Contact form messages live in my email inbox and are kept in line with normal email retention. Page-view counts are kept indefinitely as they contain no personal data.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you can ask to see what personal information I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. To do so, email enquiries@skippersworld.co.uk and I'll respond as soon as I can.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
